Thanks Chris--we should discuss a collaberation some time!
I found another email that I forgot to include with the original chain:
Martin,
I have been extremely busy with the storms we have been getting in the States. As you know we were hit by a hurricane last week and we are getting another tomorrow, followed by a possible third next week!
The weather has brought up some interesting anomalies on the Furr-Berger device. Between my normal duties, I have been able to get away and check on the testing. Apparently, the device is much more susceptible to temperature and humidity. To put it in Layman terms, it just plain doesn't like being cold and wet. This is very bothersome because although it may still have control over the subject, it loses internal power because the circuitry breaks down. We did find that introducing alcohol to the device (the host) made great improvements.
I fear this is a problem that will not go away no matter what. I still have great hopes for the device, but it just may not be able to be used in certain climates.
I am still working on getting to Spain, but I am not allowed to travel with the weather conditions as they are. You have to understand this.. We have several instances where a national emergency could be instituted and all leave has been suspended. I will let you know as soon as I can when I can leave.
I hope the documents will not expire by then!
