This morning saw the crews start in freshening northerly winds of about 15- 20 knots and a rising temperature which during the day reached a maximum of 42'C. The wind caused a steep close wave which tested several crews.

This afternoon's racing saw an increasing breeze of up to the upper wind limit for the class with stronger gusts being experienced by the crews.

A few crews described today as exciting, hard work and tiring sailing but all seemed to enjoy themselves.

Two boats decided to drop their rigs out on the course and one swam in the high temps.
