But...the other major manufacturer has not been mentioned. Closer to your area Karl, NACRA has the only regatta around...the CRAW and CRAM organizations. Your only likely to see F16 sprout from these ranks (and possibly a NACRA F16?). I don't think the Hobie sailors will be able to splinter off, start, support and/or sustain themselves.
CRAW is all open class/handicap, and most of it is far far away in Eastern Wi. I don't like going that deep in cheese country.
There's already a few F16's in CRAW, I think they're both Vectorworks boats. One of them used to post on here on a regular bases. MarkMT I believe.
Karl, I won't tell you to buy another brand, what I will tell you is to -move-...to Florida! Then you will have a choice of regattas, fleets, boats, etc. and you can race year round.
Moving for me is easy, moving my failing cabinet business, and a girlfriend that is attached at the hip with her parents is a challenge.
