There are a great number of reasons that the H16 attracts and maintains women (and youts)...

The most obvious is that it is a simple rig. Not easy to win (very competitive, "serious" fleet), but unless it's blowing 20, it's pretty comfortable and there isn't a ton of stuff to pull, get caught up in, hurt by, etc. Very easy to learn and simple layout helps attract new crews.

BTW, the above paragraph is not my perspective, but that of my wife, who I met because she was looking to get onto a simpler cat...
