FYI: On Saturday RHYC held a US Sailing Basic Race Management Course attended by maybe twenty people .... during a "break" a Mr Jim Albert from the Havre D'Grace YC approached me and asked "I have a Hobie Wave, do you think I'll be able to attend and compete in the RHYC Points Regetta???" I stated that I believe so, and that we were working out the details currently ... I took his contact information and passed it on to the Div11 Commodore. Div11 is trying to coordinate attendence between the Waves in North Jersey and Maryland to maximize attendence at a couple of events. (Jim has been following the discussions here on CatSailor!!!)

To any "Wave" sailor that wishes to attend a Div11 Point Regatta please contact a Div11 Hobie Sailor and ask them to please put you in touch w/ Ron LaPorta: Commodore of Div11 so Wave attendence can be coordinated to ensure maximum enjoyment and fun, in this first year of this program.

Today I'm working on the NOR for the RHYC Hobie Points Regetta ... and have a question ... What courses do the Waves sail/race??? Are/will the courses be the same as the HCA-NA windward/leeward coures??? Or do the Waves prefer triangular courses w/ a reaching leg??? RHYC has the room and resourses availible to do both concurrently if required.
