Don't want to sound dumb, but I don't know where Div 11 is. and I don't know what RHYC (except back in the Shark days we hade the NAs at the Royal Hamilton YC in Hamilton, Ont.

Back to other stuff. The Wave Class HATES W/L course. The official class course is a triangle (we normally use the port end of the start line as the leeward mark for simplicity), windward, and leeward finish. The reaching mark is to be 125% of the distance for the weather leg. This allows for two up wind legs, two hot reaches (we usually do not make it unilateral, rather make one leg hotter than the other)and one downwind leg.

Our experimental course, soon to be adopted, has the RC located about 1/3 up the weather leg, with a Leeward mark downwind of the RC. Same course but makes the downwind leg shorter.

Nothing more boring than sailing a Wave downwind. I am sure they will be happy with anything as long as it is not just W/Ls
