No the tack is fixed - what I meant was the halyard comes down the luff of the jib to a 2:1 at the tack. This 2:1 tail comes back along the bowsprit onto another 2:1 giving a total purchase of 4:1.............

Where does the tail of the first one go?
I'm lost as to where the following attach....
1, the top 1/2 of the cascade; one end attached somewhere, goes around a block on the halyard and then attaches to the 2nd 2:1 cascade
2, The second cascade (the only one I have) is attached to the cleat that is on the pole (so Pole clkam cleat top, block, thru clam cleat and cleat).
