Yes, Kevin, it does collapse into a narrow U-shape alongside the mast when sailing downwind. There is an optional boom for the boat which solves this problem.

Also, I had difficulty tacking it without getting the mainsheet either wrapped around me or around the tiller. It's because the mainsheet cleat is on the top of the tiller. Rick didn't have any problem with that, so it's probably just me.

I know how to tack a monohull dinghy, where the sheet comes from forward and the tiller is aft, but when both are aft, it is a new learning experience.
