The race started at 9:20, and two boats are out of the game right off the bat. Leah and Dave White are out with their Nacra 6.0. It was a close reach from the start to Card Sound Bridge, so Dave jumped out on the trapeze, and the little connector line broke, dropping him in the drink, and causing the boat to capsize. They righted okay, with help of a righting bag, but dropped out of the race.

Arnis Zvirbulis, Hobie 20, was seen back on the beach at Gilbert's. We don't know the reason.
