An editor of the Corpus Christi Caller-Times flipped an 18 in moderate conditions and was unable to right it, in spite of the presence (and presumed assistance) of two other people on the boat. They are to be commended for staying with the boat for the 16 hours it took to drift ashore; the lack of personal flotation devices and (probably) harnesses was a major failing.
