Stewart, when it takes 40 mins (and sometimes more) to drive 20 miles around here it tends to colour one's judgement of distance!!

The point I was making was that paying the higher price to travel to Rotterdam had to be balanced against a drive of just 35km and say, 6 litres of fuel as opposed to getting the cheaper ferry but then driving 300kms for 3+ hours and using 60 litres of fuel!
