Has anyone ever done a reverse purchase, say 1:2 on an F18? I would think the load would increase too much to handle in big breeze... But could be a nice addition if not.
I threw the idea around in my early days on the Tornado. I beleive it was John Forbes who said he tried it and the loads were to great. Also gave the spinnaker extra purchase to pull the halyard through the cleat when you did notwant it to.
