Hi Gill, as usual I was so far back it's hard for me to add much detail.

Maybe if everyone will put in a little bit we can get enough detail for a good story.

I do know the course was a little shifty so if you didn't pay attention you could carry the downwind too far on starboard and have to douse the spin to make the finish! blush I'll bet I wasn't the only one to make that mistake though.

From what I saw, Chris Stater had a solid series making few mistakes. Karl Broger had a good series but pitchpoled at least once. I'm not sure if anyone else went over. Karl has a new red main and orange jib so he's easy to spot. Karl was up near the front a lot so I'd say he is definitely coming on.

I just didn't see Eric and Robin much. I thought I had them buried on one start, until Eric went out on the wire and just pointed right over me! Karl nipped them at the line to finish ahead in one race. Mike Canney is a brand new sailor and had never even seen a mark or rounded one before this weekend! Terry Back got him wet on Friday and Mark Herrenden came over from the A cat course Saturday and Sunday and helped him to a couple of good finishes. Mike comes to us from the auto racing world and promises to do quite well. His new Viper will be going up to WRSC and I'm sure they will break him in right!

I just didn't get to talk to Drew and Steve very much but they seemed to have decent boat speed. The course was just shifty enough that it was easy to sail the wrong tack and I think that was their biggest problem.

Nigel and Tammy, Andi and Tim were gone right after the start so I've no idea what they were up to. I feel pretty certain that Nigel was picking the right shifts, when I did see him he seemed pretty much by himself and in front or very close to it.
