looking at the picture, I kinda wonder why both sides don't have that fiberglass rod? It would seem to me that might allow for more even distribution of force than the little straps on the tramp side?
And not knowing the "real" reason why they switched, how much air can move through that slot? The boat still goes pretty fast on its side with the new tramp design, don't ask me how I know....
Jay, It's so the air can get out while you're sailing, not for capsizes. You can feel the air rushing through, vertically. And Yes, Nacra/E/P dropped the ball on that also. It should have been wider.
