It's cheap racing. If I could afford to race cars I'd dump this and be on that like white on rice.
I used to race jeeps, I figured at the end of a season it cost me $100 a minute to run my jeep in competition. While that was loads of fun, it's cost in towing, traveling an repairs really got to me. Sailing lets me travel in a small suv compared to a 1 ton diesel, a big boat repair is $200 instead of $2000. I agree there is much better bang for the buck in sailing.
