By the time I got my shi t sorted the Mossie fleet at my local club was on the fall while the Taipans were on the rise (why sail in a fleet of 4 on a good day, when you can be in a fleet of 5 on a bad day). So I bought an old wooden Taipan and spent the winter sanding and fixing.

Painsville nationals were a lot of fun, but having only sailed the boat in 8 races before the event all but 1 of which was in less than 7 knots I was always going to be at the back of the fleet.
