how many beach cat sailors have been attacked, bit, killed, eaten by sharks?
I sail with in the gulf every weekend, have yet to see one jump into anyone's boat (unless attached to a rod/reel)

I just pulled up the track of Mary Lee, a 16 foot Great White that I'm surprised they managed to tag...lots of forging raids along the Georgia/SC border. Definitely NOT sailing anywhere NEAR this beast.
