You'll have to come out and see us on March 1st. We should (hopefully) be cruising past Marco island in the afternoon. Note; we might duck behind Ten Thousand Island and cut the corner if the wind is right.
if your boat draws less than 3 feet, you should be fine almost everywhere. You can see the bottom = time to turn
if you cut in at Big Marco pass, there are two fixed bridges (I think 40+ feet clearance).
with that speed demon, I think the straight shot on the outside route might work best. Cut a left at Romano between the sand bars, keep Gullivan bay marker on your left, and it's a straight shot to Cape Sable.
I guess the strategy call would be to continue directly to Duck Key and run north (ala Steeplechase) or hang a left at Cape Sable and run that route ...?
You going to have a spot transponder or anything I can keep an eye on your progress? It would be nice to watch that thing fly by... while I work on my tan and drinking muscles
