Hmmmm...that's not much. They must have had to do some non-foiling sailing that cost them time. 10 minute lead after 3 hours isn't that much (for and extra $18,000).



The report on catsailingnews said that they had to deal with sub-8-knot upwind conditions where they drifted into the middle of the pack of F18's.

It goes without saying that with that much drag under the hulls, its gonna be sticky in displacement mode.
