As far as I remember a H14 in real life is certainly not more heavy than a P16. But if you are only searching for light wind, then a P16 is not a bad choice.

Uprighting a P16 after capseize alone can be a problem though (Yes,yes, forum, I know it can be done, but......)


You are right :-), the Hobie 14 Turbo is lighter but has almost 5m2 smaller sail.

Prindle16 is 135 kg. and 17.56m2 sail http://sailboatdata.com/viewrecord.asp?class_id=3860
