Looking at the comments, two interesting themes:

Two of the top boats mentioned competing at past F18 worlds, and the press release brags about Besson being the current title holder, but I saw no mention of the fact that the current F18 worlds is being contested simultaneously.

Lots of discussion about a major wind change (pressure drop and 50-degree shift after the first lap), but the RC let it ride. There was mention of a potential protest (more likely a request for redress), but I don't see a list of hearings or results.
