This morning,(Dec.14), Big Marine Lake lost all its ice from rain and warm weather. There had been about two inches of ice, which was already unusually thin for the season.
How are other northern lakes doing across the U.S. and Canada ?
(Or Europe for that matter ?)
I see where this will soon be going...but let me say that coming back from the Florida Keys last Sunday and wearing shorts and flip flops all the way home (and not adding more layers when I got there) was pretty amazing!
October was the
warmest fourth warmest October in recorded history in the US. I haven't seen anything about November or December but it doesn't seem like they would be far behind.
