I'd second Mike... but honestly I'd upsize to 7/16" for the entire halyard rather than bulking up.
That's a good bit more expensive and what would be the benefit? Sounds like more weight aloft (I've got a 30 ft. run up the mast), I'm not sure what the working load is (this is cleated at the bottom, not hooked at the top like a beachcat)
