The wildcat can be a competitive boat, but is arguably the hardest boat to sail of the current generation boats. It requires the most attention from the helm and rewards those that practice a ton. It also suffers in the U.S from a lack of competitive sailors on the platform, so their are little common tuning numbers (namely mast rake) for folks to go off. In lighter air and flat water it shines, and it can do well in other conditions but wouldn't be my choice for a ride in breeze.
