I have the documentation on it at home, but from memory.

4.30 mtr. length (Aus is metric) = little more than 1 inch longer than 14 feet
0.5 * 4.30 width = 2.15 mtr. = 7 ft 2 inch

Same length to width ratio than Tornado, F18, F16. Will make the preformance with respect to these designs constant over the full range of windspeed when the rig is carefully chosen. This make single handicap number racing (dominant in Aus, EU and Asia) possible. No shifts when wind speed changes.

about 7 mtr. = Mast length, at least that was considered most likely but this dependents on the rig used

weight as low as 70 kg's = 155 lbs

We were leaning towards a cat rigged setup with indeed a furling headsail. Not because of the cat-rigged craze, but because the boats can be build lighter and cheaper without a jib. In this setup the boat needs a furling kind of headsail like a hooter to keep the performance around a course up, especiall reaching which requires a very flat headsail.

Mainsail + mast = about 12 sq. mtr. is a likely candidate.

With the numbers given above the F14 would arrive at about the speed of a P16 when double handed by two kids.

The F14 was/is put in the fridge because of limits in spare time and because it was considered too small a market to be succesful and economic viable.

However if you guys get it off the ground ....
