There's a book called "The Marlinspike Sailor" that I first got about 10 years ago, but I've gone back to it for reference at least a dozen times since the first reading. toward the back it gets a little deep into the decorative end of things, but always applying the same basic operations taught in the front of the book. very well illustrated, which is tough to find. ever try drawing rope effectively?<br><br>
