In theory the deck is removable. The problem is it sits on a very thin flange and is epoxyed in place. I recently replaced my foredecks. It was next to impossible to remove them without damaging the flange (it was so delicate). But if you must pull the deck it is not that hard to reconstruct the flange.

But as posted previously... if the deck is fine then it would be best to go though the side of the hull and then repair the hull.
