There was a romance-y kind of movie from the '80's that had a pretty cool catamaran race scene in it. I couldn't remember the name, but did a search and found that it was called Violets are Blue and starred Sissy Spacek and Kevin Kline.

I don't remember much else about it other than the race and the fact it showed Kevin Kline's naked tushie. I'm sure you'll all run right out and rent it now...
