The hounds on my mast are set 2.8meters from the top of the mast.



I do not know the rules governing mast height or sail sizes for the Stingray.

I think there were around 600 stingrays built from the 1970's on. Initially they had a 28 ft mast with a pin top main. They then changed to a 9meter mast with a small square top. Today there are very few Stingrays left in captivity. And I don't know if you can say they typically use any particular section.



I have heard of them even using a 5.7 rig.



My Stingray mast is much heavier than my 4.9 mast allowing for the extra mast height.
