My best advice is to set and douse FAST (each can be done in under 10 seconds). Doing so will : 1. reduce the time you'll give back to non -spin boats at mark roundings. 2. increase your gains on spin boats you're racing with clumsy, slow, kite work. 3. reduce chances of "bad stuff" happening during sets/douses.
I think in time, sets/douses from the wire will be the competitive standard in the F16 cat.(solo) racing as it looks to allow hot angles to be sailed for longer heading into a rounding.
