**** O' The Lake Marathon.

We had 120 cats on the start line that year with a mass start.
A boat passing to wndward clipped his tiller and spun him so a Nacra 5.2 put a decent sized hole is his port hull. Quickly he tached onto port to make it to shore before he sunk and a Hobie 18 put two holes in his standboard hull.

I was on the the start boat that year. We towed him to shore.

He took it pretty bad. Gave up cat sailing and went sailing 18ft skiffs on the harbour.

but they have some pretty good ideas.
