Race training for F16s to be held at Datchet Water Sailing Club, over the weekend of 14th and 15th of April. Topics covered will include starting, boat handling, racecraft and maybe a bit of speed work as well. Let me know who is interested, No charge.

Looks like there is a 90% chance I'll be staying down in the area for the night. Where is a good place to crash out ?

John. Further to our performance last weekend at The F18 TT and European Qualifiers, I think you should also include 'Boat Preparation' as part of the training syllabus <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

The ice has melted at Huntinton Lake in the High Sierra of California, so Eric, we can start training now for the f-16 west coast championships in June. This is the Commodore Classic. If anyone wants to see the sight go to lakeshoreresort.com

It can all be explained in one proverb;
Fail to prepare
Prepare to fail.
We borrowed a friends Nacra 18 are were hoping to do a bit of sailing prior to the event but due to the weather this never materialised. So we ended up missing the start of the 1st race, capsized whilst in fifth place in the 2nd race. Went ashore and did some boat tuning instead of competing in the 3rd race and finished 15th due to traveller problems, 12th and 9th in the subsequent races.

Over at the other side of the pond forcasts say sunny and 24 degrees celsius (=rather warm) and a force 3 wind (about 10 knots) blowing from the east (= no surf). In short a perfect forcast to remove the cogwebs and start the sailing season.

I'm going sailing this weekend ! And it will not be on my landyachts but my sailboat.

Come to Mumbles on Sunday. 'Wind Guru' predicts 10mph, 19 degrees and 98% cloud cover. Racing starts at 16.00hrs (will have to miss the Rugby)

Massive thanks to John for running this. Difficult conditions on Saturday but we still managed a few hours on the water and some hull flying at the end.

Plenty of boat bibmling on Sunday as no wind and then a Q+A session.

Thanks Again to John.

We also had a fun evening out in Windsor.
