It's a sad day, nobody responds form the good old days. I either guess nobody from the surfing days, or are resting in Davie Jones Locker.
The plight is after 5 coats of primer, and five coats of Poly gloss white a fellow sailor upon visitng (Holy S**t she is a beauty). The curved lines (Not a straight one on entire hull) of an orginal Hobie with custom nose art (risque) and the wording "surfergirl" emblazing on her sides.
Now she is in need of parts, it is sad to find that the orginals have been destroyed, I am planning to living the legend of boat #11.
I am requesting and giving pernmission to all participants of this board copy this email and place into other sites especially fleets. A screw here, a wire here will all add up to the rebirth of the girl. The new components will not fit.
Help save a girl, I have attached a pic for all to see, maybe a tear will come to your eye, 20 years of laying in the yard. A pic of how she looks now will be posted next week.
Not looking for a handout, just a hand.

Every wire, the Hobie was sold stripped. I am in a need of a compatiable boom (pre 1970's) and sails.
I am planning to take digital pictures next week, so dealers and I can talk the same. There is totally surprise or disbelief upon era of boat. My one local dealer after seeing boat totally argee's with compatability of new parts to fit properly. Yes, they will work but not appear as right.
Many Thanks
