Just a quick note to let you know that the Australian Taipan Catamaran Sailing website has moved. It is to become the official site of the National Association.

The new address is http://www.taipan.asn.au

Couple of pictures of Aussie Taipans with kites on the Taipan site. On page 4 of the Photos page. Currently 4 Taipans in NSW running kites now with possible interest from others.

What size kites are you Aussies running? I have both a Goodall's 21 and 17 sq m kite and I'm not sure which is really "faster" than the other- Seems to depend on conditions to me-

18.5m square kites from Landenberger Sails. Very impressed by them.

Rob-

Very nice site! Not sure it's very conducive to potential purchasers to see the Taipan apparently pitchpoling on the Home page! Looks like the crew was forward and in on the hull??

One suggestion- a link to the article on diamond tensioning in the Superwing article, section 7. where it discusses diamond tension-

Regards,

Kirt

Kirt,

I understand what you are saying about the pitchpoling Taipan on the front page but its all part of the fun!! :-) The skipper of the boat told me that his crew was sitting on the mainsheet so he was unable to release it when the gust came.

I change the photo every now and then. The next one will be a better ad.

Good suggestionabout the link. I'll look at that on the weekend. Probably link it to your tip.

Thanks for your feedback.
