For some odd reason, I'm having problems with my main halyard coming off the sheave and getting jammed up. Never seemed to happen last year with the same halyard. I did remove it to paint the mast but don't think I did anything different when putting it back in. anyone else have this problem??

thanks.

used to.

Put some nylong washers to snug up the sheeve and went to a smaller diameter line.

The problem might be the sheave too, check it all the way around to see if maybe it has a worn spot that allows the halyard to jump off.

I had this problem with my 5.2 and it turned out to be a chip in the sheave. It was still happening after I replaced the sheave so I removed the wire halyard and replaced it with low-stretch line. It works perfect now.
