"16 September......The eastward moving cold front reached New England oday and ran into the remnants of Tropical Storm Hanna.
Winds were out of the southwest at 21 to 26 knots throughout the morning, and particularly gusty during the several rain showers that moved across the Vineyard. Racing was postponed the Race Committee waited for the rain squalls to end. Postponement ended at 2:30 and one race was completed in wind that ranged from 15-20 knots.
Glen Ashby, Scott Anderson, and Lars Guck took the top finishes. Tomorrow will see a return to sunny weather. Winds are expected to be out of the North at 10-12 knots. "
