Actually it's Rick's three rules of beach cat major coast line distance racing.

1) Stay close to the beach
2) Stay close to the beach
3) Stay close to the beach

Wasn't the quote something like...

1. If the wind looks good close to shore, stay close to the beach.

2. If the wind looks good offshore, stay close to the beach.

Once again, we were not racing we were just having fun. Like I said we were some land locked lake sailors, just being out of site of land was a rush to us! I mean i was impressed by the barge's size, think if we had seen some super tanker.

Rob you should make it to the Wayward winds this year it will be fun. I'm guessing we will be the only 5.2 out there so looks like we'll both get a trophy..lol Im going to have Mike from "texas Hellraisers" with me it will be alot of fun so try to come out..

Oh and by the way we never follow the rules like staying close to the beach on our cats....lol sorry Rick

I did get that one. I'm also thinking of buying another one Todd showed me, and buy it to scrape some spare parts and what not and sell of the rest (the one I have is full ready to sail though)
I would come to the wednesday night races (I saw your post on tcdyc site) but I'm a student at UT and I have finals this week (Which is why I'm still up...)
Anyways, I will most likely be on the dike this sunday

I know that feeling of finals, I jsut had my first on this morning at 8am, after staying up until 4am getting ready for it. MMMM, coffee, that is what is keeping me going. Now I have to go to work and then get ready for my Organic Chemistry final.

Not much sailing for me this week.

Well I was biology pre-med (WAS). I finished all premed courses except Ochem2 and ochem lab, and got tired of biology in general (I don't enjoy it) so I switched over to Computer science (I have my own website company and have 3 dedicated servers and a team of programmers that work for me) and I enjoy it much more. So now technically I am computer science premed. Both options are open.
My dad is a doctor and I guess I felt I needed ot be a doctor as well, which is why I originally did premed, but we'll see.

But ya Kris, that sounds good, I'm definately planning to be there sunday, and I'll give you a call when I'm on my way. I'm going to shoot for being there around 11 or so, but we'll see.

Smatman can you make it Saturday. The weather is susposed to be blah on Sunday "lots of rain and no wind" so they say.. Let me know I'll def be there Sat.!!

I wish I could make it saturday, but I'm leaving houston saturday. I had planned to leave friday night (my last is friday 2-5) but I gota pack all my stuff, and a friend has his last exam saturday 9-12 and I told him I'd give him a ride to houston. Also a friend is having a bbq at his new house, so saturday is definately not possible.
I checked 3 sites (accuweather sailfow and wunderground and it doesn't seem there will be rain, slight chance but I doubt it.
Only issue is wind seems to be not known.. varying from 6-13 mph...
Meh I really wanted alot of wind!
