2008 Nationals
Corsair Sailors,
This morning I did get the unofficial word that Beverly Yacht Club in Marion Mass. would be willing to host the 2008 Nationals. The dates have not been chosen but it is my intent to push for the racing days to be Wednesday to Friday August 7, 8 and 9 which would follow the Buzzard's Bay Regatta (BBR) which is the previous Friday to Sunday August 1-3. This would allow us to have a stand alone event with full use of the club and have the BBR as a tune up for
those interested.
There will be plenty of support from local Corsair sailors and Marion Harbor should be able to handle the entire fleet but I suspect that many boats will sail out of either Wareham or Mattapoisett which are both about the same distance from our race course. There are also a number of local sailors that would like to organize daily cruise events.
As soon as the Official word comes we will form an organizational committee. Please let me know if you would like to get involved and if so what you think you could to add to the team!
