Formula Catamarans Aust are building the first fully optimised "production" F16 in Australia. We couldn't go past the outstanding quality of construction and finish on the Alpha Omega F14 so we approached Tony and Darryl Barrett to build the hulls under contract to Formula Catamarans Aust.
Attached is a pic of the first hulls straight out of the mould without decks & final polishing required.
More photo's as progress continues.

Thanks for the post and the photo. That looks terrific! I'm really looking forward to seeing it 'in the flesh' at Zandvoort (as, I'm sure, are others)
Yes please! to more updates.

I spend the last 30 minutes looking at the picture and trying to find out what made me like the hull shape so much at first glance. I just couldn't put my finger on it.
Then is occured to me that Phill had once said that the attraction of a hull is mostly determined by the deck shape on the bows. And that is exactly what it is !
The gunwhales on the foredeck are rounded from the stem to the mainbeam landing and it is done in a very understated way. It even continues past the mainbeam and creating a very nice rounded corner to seat your butt or place your feet while trapping.
It has a very pretty nose, I like it.
Just as John Alani, I can't what to see the finished product at Zandvoort for the Global Challenge.

I have some parties here that are seriously interested in getting into the F16 class this season.
Rumours have it that some Aussie build Blades will be present at the Zandvoort Global Challenge and I'm guessing these guys will be interested in selling their boats after the event.
Can you bring me up to date with regard to this, so that I may better inform these parties ? (Or even find some buyers before the event starts !
Mail me at :

(A similar request was sent to AHPC and Stealth Marine with regard to the Viper and Stealth F16's that are expected to be at this event)
