Posts: 3,116 Annapolis, MD | I thought that Peter Vink was buying Nacra from catalina...
Did that rumor prove false... or did the deal fall through.

Posts: 3,293 Long Beach, California | Can't believe that the deal is secret, so I hope I'm not in trouble. Mischa told me on the beach last week that the "ink is dry" on the deal - Nacra Europe has changes planned for the Santa Ana facility, including some employee security and retention, a re-vamp of the production schedule, etc. Sounded like all positive stuff to me.

After watching Lionel Messi play, I realize I need to sail harder.

I hope so and that would be the smart thing to do. I have dealt with them on a personal level, and Jack, Bob, and Joe are great guys. My NACRA was involved in an accident, and I had taken to Performance for repairs. When the claims adjuster showed up, they gave him a tour of the factory and explained/shown to him what is going to entail to repair my boat – they guy had no problem cutting them a check for the repairs. You don’t get that kind of personalized touch much these days and there is a tremendous amount of pride in the products manufactured on Borchard Ave. If you are ever in the area go by and take a look. And should you ever have a question Jack or Bob will always call you back. And, anyone know what they are going to do to the Johnson 18’s, CFJs and the 420s – was that part of the deal? | | |
