I'm in desperate need of a Hobie17. Desperate because I am old & not sure how long I will live!

Go to the classified section of Cat Sailor. Dave Wilder in Seattle has a great deal on a excellent H-17. Age is a state of mind. Our oldest Hobie sailor, age 80, just sold his H-17. I hope to pass his record, but have 14 more years to go.

Suggest you stop by the Hobie Mega at Ft. Walton Beach, Oct 4 to11. So far, we have 38- H-17's registered. May be several for sale. Dave and I, plus additional H-17 sailors from the Northwest will be there. Look us up, be glad to take you for a ride. Caleb Tarleton

Go to 7-11 and buy the Florida Sailboat Trader. There are two H-17s in this weeks editon, although they are both sports with jibs and seem pricey. Last week there was a H-17 for $2000 at phone 321-409-2520. I don't want to step on Rick and Mary's toes here as they run a site that also is paid for by classifieds and benifits all of us, but I hope to have another sailor at Tradewinds. Good luck.

go to www.boattraderonline.com. There is one in Pensacola and many others. One 1992 in NY for $900 with a little work. You could also try putting an ad in the catsailor wanted section. I put my boat in for sale and had 7 calls in the first five days!!

I know of someone that has one in Orlando. Not sure of the price, but probably in the $1,500 range. e-mail me if you are interested and I'll get you in touch with them.

Just trying to help out, not trying to avoid this site's excellent advertising section (which I use and have sold things on myself).

Speaking of H17's... I need a sport jib or TheMightyHobie18 jib (both fit) for my h17sport.

Anyone has either laying around, I might be interested in taking it off your hands now that I've decided to keep my boat.

You guys are very helpful. This is a great website. I've been sailing for 61 years and have a Trac14 now. Its a fast little boat but becomes a submarine in heavy winds and seas.Keep up the good work. Thanks.

Howdy, I have a hobie 18 jib (yellow) thats in good shape. I bought it used from sailing pro shop but never used it. I'd sell it for $100 + shipping. If you're interested email me @ spn@knology.net.
