Let me know if you need a place to crash (you too TikiPete)....I'll be staying at the condo in T-Ville on Friday and Saturday (about 35 minutes to Jetty Park).
Timbo, I hope I did not come across as an [censored] on the numbering thing. I was really just trying to point out that we already have duplicate requests, even with the few numbers of boats to support that we have.
I do think we should be definitive on giving the authority to the Class Assoc or leave it to the owners to sort out. eliminate the grey area. Not every F16 is a member of the Class Assoc either.
I hope everyone has fun at JPOR. Y'all make me jealous.

Oh, and unless my kid takes pictures, you won't see any, I can't sail and take pictures at the same time, never mind the drowned camera.
Just bought a waterproof disposable- 10$. Regular film but with a scanner it is all good. I will try to remember to bring it out with me next time. I think I will keep 707 (along the same lines as 777, 787 just older and perhaps the original?)

Is the F16 association wanting to become an ISAF international class? If so, ISAF may have their own guidelines regarding sail numbering...
Most classes have consecutive numbering as a boat gets registered. This has the advantage for buying second hand boats because you can get an idea how old the boat is.
The first sails for Blades from Ullman did not have the USA, but some have added it. I BELIEVE the newer Blades have them (Ullman/Glaser) from the builder. The Alter Cup Blades do not have the country identifier. I am completely unaware of the Taipan boats, except that most that I have seen have the USA and seem to be in the 200 or 300 range of numbers. What AHPC is going to do with the Viper is unknown to me.
I was more curious to see if the owners wanted the freedom to "do their own thing" or if they wanted strict audit of sail numbers to track the age of boat, ownership, etc. The US assoc will do whatever the membership wants (I'd think)...even it it requires renumbering everybody . I have the detail that show when each person paid up and could actually number US F16 members.
I am not sure how stringent the A Class assoc is on their numbering scheme. We are also a small group and sometimes get overwhelmed by the paperwork/hassle.
The F16 international rules require the country identifier (probably for ISAF status at some point).
I do NOT speak for the US F16 Assoc and these are my opinions only. I know this does not really answer that many questions, but I am looking to input as to: if the US F16 Calss Assoc needs to do something or just sit back and let it play out. Either way, I am sure we can come tosome sort of accomodation.

Good on you, Tim !
