I just got a video showing the moulds for the new hull. It's quite hard to see the shape of the hull but I will make some snapshots from the video and post them later on.

Comparision with the current design
*The hull has full length in the waterline.
*Less rocker.
*A bit narrower at the rear.
*The mainbeam will be strikerless.
*The boat will NOT be glued together, a bit more expensive but better for the sailor in the longterm.
*Narrower centerboard.
*The hull will be made in one piece. Fittings for the forestays and shrouds will be integrated in the mould, no need to cut working holes in the hull anymore.
*The hulls will be tilted a couple of degrees
*Mainbeam moved back 10 cm.

Hakan,

What about canting daggerboards? Are they vertical or tipped in? (semi lifting is the question, as we have seen this in some euro boats.

They haven't made the mould yet but I don't think the centerboards will be canted.

But now is the chance to get new features on the boat!

Hakan,

I thought that maybe you might be able to update your thread now. It is almost October and you last post was 6-6-07. So do you have any new pictures, videos and so-on. Would love to see the finished product before the Worlds. thanks.

Marstrom has been sailing with the first prototype for a while and everything seems to work according to plan.

I haven't seen the boat yet since I missed our Nationals. I will try to take a trip down to Västervik next week and take some pictures of the boats before they are shipped to the worlds.

Hakan,

Did you get to make the trip to see the new boat?
