The 2007 Round the Island Race will be June, 15 - 17. This race is a 100 mile circumnavigation around Santa Rosa Island located in Northwest Florida. Headquartered at the Fort Walton Yacht Club, the race begins off the point, through the East Pass and continues west through the Pensacola pass where the northern turn is made for the return trip. lessee... 100 miles in beautiful clear blue water, stopping if you really wanted to because bars are all along the beach except for a stretch there near the AF base. Racing against the likes of Randy Smyth, the Strat boys telling jokes in the Narrows, seeing the beautiful Supercats go like Hell...
