Has anyone had experience with the G'zOne waterproof cell phone? I would like to carry a phone for safety reasons and the hype about this one seems to indicate that it would be ideal for use on a catamaran. I wonder if it would stand up to repeatedly being dunked or submerged if I turned over.

I just put mine in a waterproof bag. You can use an expensive one, or I sometimes use an 'ice bag' from the clinic at work, for free. It doesn't leak either.

I would opt for a simple waterproof bag and get a phone that has the features you really want or need. We sell all kinds of bag right here on this site. For example, look at this one:

I just got a new phone before the Tybee 500 and was able to use it for covering the race uploading pix and stories. It was capable of 900K download, which is faster than our DSL at Put-in-Bay.
I doubt that waterproof phone will do anything like that.

I use a vaccum sealer, for food, for my handheld GPS. Pull out the amount of air you want to and it melts the plastic sealing it in. No chance of leakage.
