Had a look at another mossie today and with the condition its in I want to buy a boat cover for it.
Is there any where that makes boat covers fot the mossie?
and what is the best light weight material material for a boat cover as well?
Thanks

Goodalls make good boat covers. You can get a light duty material called Canvacon or a Heavy Duty Acrylic canvas. The light duty one would set you back around $300 and the heavy duty around the $650 mark. (Ring to make sure)

Goodall Sails (AHPC) 03 5443 6910 or ahpcinfo(at)ahpc.com.au

If you wanted to make your own you should be able to find Canvacon at local loft or marine supplies store. You mostly see Canvacon as boom covers on big boats with their name on it, while moored.

Regards

Matt

Will,

I used some of the heavy duty UV stable plastic material that is used as curtains on the sides of the big truck trailers.

See if there is somewhere in Sydney that produces these curtains and get a price for 5 m off the roll. It comes on a roll 3 m wide so is good for covering the Mozzie. It may work out to be allot cheaper than having one produced commercially.

The plastic is great to work with; you just overlap the edges and superglue the joints. I made mine about 3 years ago and it's still holding together like the day it was glued after being out in the weather for all of that time. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

The only parts that are showing their age are the eyelets.

Regards,

Peter

p.s. Get white plastic if possible since the dark colours absorb heat like crazy and may damage deck paintwork etc.
