From the picture you've got one trapeze on each side of the boat. Add a second set for the crew.

The bridle fly attaches where the bridle meets the forestay.

The 16 is equipped with a forestay that holds the mast up and a second one inside the luff of the jib. That one is tensioned when the jib is raised and the other goes slack.

Book are good. Reading in the evening and having good reference books at hand make it easier for the learning to take hold.
CSfor the 90s is excellent but I woul,d also get something a little less acedemic and basic.
Troll the net for all Hobie 16 info, tuning guides, race and sailing tactics, gear lists and images. There is heaps on the net at your fingure tips. Print it off and put a clear file together on everything from trim guides to righting prceedures. If you can get to a high scale competition and just watch the set ups and listen to the chat.
