This is at the beach at Juanna's in Navarre FL.. My band played Fri Night when a thunderstorm rolled through.. We thought our effects lighting was working extra good but I suppose it was just the lightning and the Jager..

Here are some pics of what happened to some cats on the beach OUCH..

How much wind does it take to flip a H16 anyway

I dont know how much wind it takes, but I always tie the boat to the trailer ( never leave it beached).

Are you with Marsha X3? I'm sorry we missed that!

I loaded up my Nacra 5.2 Friday morning... looks like I lucked out! Although I had a 4' screw anchor in the ground and the boat tied to it. I thought all the boats there were tied down! Damn! There was one hell of a lightning show the night before but not that much wind.

Looked again and saw the date... Sometimes...

Yeah, Fender, I heard you met my friend Karl from your area recently. I knew you were in a band, but I didn't put it all together. So are you the possessed drummer, the guitar player with the mullet wig, or that other crazy dude? And where are y'all from....really?

Back on topic....I don't know how much wind it takes to flip an H-16, either, but it's considerably less if the mast is down. And it's not sufficient to simply have one tied to the trailer if it's in an unsheltered area....it needs to be tied to the ground. We've had 'em flip....trailer and all....around here in the straight line winds associated with thunderstorms.

See y'all at Juana's Good Time Regatta! (Fender, will you be gigging, racing, or both?)
