Went for a sail today. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Sunny 5 knots few sprint races then just sailed up pittwater to lion island. As we were sailing a big pod of dolphins came over to have a look at us .
They came within a few metres jumping out to have a good look.
Wind increased to 10-15 knots don't think it could get much better. (Well I could of won all the races and it could have been 10 degrees warmer <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />)

Sound great Ben... swap temperatures with you! <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

Went down to Mcrae on Sat.for the last of the Winter series there but alas it was blown out before the boats hit the water.

The day ended up well though as Peter Foulsum turned up while I was rigging and went over the boat with me. Thats what I call "bloody good service" from the association. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> (Many thanks once again Peter)

The flip side is that he gave me some "homework" so it looks like I've a bit more work to do before the season proper. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

We had our winter dinner at McCrae that night which involved a wine or 3, then a reasonably early departure so as to get up in time to go to Sugarloaf today.

Met Trevor ( Another toy) who sadly could not sail due to a crook prawn, and Bill Pepping who had his Kite in action. Can't mention performaces or swims as "what happens on tour......" <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

No trap action, but 2 races in varying conditions and a great day to learn a bit more about the boat. Got my head around where to get my weight to good effect etc. and discovered that my mainsheet and tiller are both too short. ( more money <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

It was a smallish course due to water levels but a friendly bunch over there. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Swap sports with you both.

Went pocket bike racing on sunday and ended up with a split on the chin and a very sore upper right jaw.

But it was fun and something different.

So simon you upto pace yet ready to give the states and nationals a shack up. Good to see your enjoying your mossie and remember it can only get more fun.

William
