Heart starter regatta at Palm Beach CC on the 25/8 but I think that might be a bit far for you Vic's to travel.

Just hope for a bit more than the less than 1 knot (gusts) we had for the Traveller races!

If anyone is interested we had 2 boats (Another Toy (Mk1 and Fat Bomber (Mk1 with Spi) for the 2 races on Sunday. The Bomber came through absolutely caneing the Taipans and an A class in the first race, and The Toy in her usual position. A must see is Bills reaction after going over the line:

The Taipans and A got their own back in the second race though and Bill had to rely on handicap to grab a second place. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Sorry I didn't make it on Sunday. I was distracted by the attentions of a young lady, and as a Single Dad, I fell for the temptations of such a rare event.

I'm using Real Player by default but Windows Media Player, and WinAmp also work.

Regarding the next event, there is supposed to be a race at Mordialloc SC on Sun 16th Sept - the OTB traveller series.

However the next MAJOR events would be Lake Bonney YC opening day and the Forster Wildcat regatta (north of Newcastle). These are probably on the same weekend but I have no info on either as yet.

Can someone from Lake Bonney let us know what's happening this year?

When you get the race organizer to set a downwind starting course and you beat the Taipans by at least a leg you'd be jumping up and down as well! I had to rub it in!

Sorry about the delay in getting this info to you but I am not at home and sort of busy with books etc...the things we do.

Opening Day for Lake Bonney Yacht Club in the Riverland of SA is programmed for the SA long weekend....that is the 29th and 30th of September.

I have had brief discussions with our commodore and it is intended to have racing over both days and none on the Monday so that the Vics don't miss out. Exact format is yet to be decided.

It will be worth the drive again....and hoping that we have a few more of the Adelaide boats come up for a good hitout before the start of the season and a week before the Master's Games in Adelaide.

See you there....I still have to get home and put a new rig together, along with a new main, cut by youngest son....looking forward to it all...
